Light Pierces Darkness 

• Jesus said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness but will have the light of life.”  John 8:12
• Jesus told us, “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden… Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven”  Matthew 5:14, 16
• Paul wrote, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.”  Ephesians 5:8.
• Paul was blinded by the light. The wise men followed a bright light at the birth of Jesus.
• “God alone has immortality, who dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion.”   I Timothy 6:16

God’s Word, like a sword “pierces and divides” light from darkness. These “Blades” are essential truths regarding discipleship. Together they separate those who have a discipleship plan and those who do not.
